Our journey began with Kofi, the first dog welcomed into a safe and loving home. This simple act sparked a mission to help vulnerable animals in need.

During an internship in Portugal, Anna collaborated with Let’s Save Animals, a volunteer group in Armenia aiding homeless animals. Inspired by their work, she began supporting their mission and caring for animals in crisis.

Anna’s home became a sanctuary as more animals needed help recovering from illness and injury. What started as a small effort grew into a lifelong commitment to saving lives.

With 45 dogs in care, Anna transitioned from the volunteer group to establishing an independent rescue. This step solidified her full responsibility for the shelter’s operations.

After losing Kofi, we named the shelter Kofi’s Home Shelter in her honor. Her legacy of hope and resilience continues to inspire our mission every day.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought financial struggles and a sharp rise in abandoned pets. Despite the challenges, we remained committed to caring for every animal in need.

To sustain our growing shelter, we held our first fundraising events. The support from our community allowed us to continue providing essential care.

Today, a devoted team of six women cares for over 200 dogs and 12 cats daily. Each animal awaits the chance to find a loving, forever family.

Kofi’s unwavering spirit guides us, reminding us of the power of compassion and second chances.
